Zionsville Town Council expected to discuss DORA measure
This comes after a number of locations in Central Indiana have implemented similar measures, including Noblesville, Westfield, Carmel and Speedway. Most recently, the town council in Zionsville voted on Monday to approve the town's own DORA ordinance.
Officials with the city of Kokomo said that the DORA program "aims to enhance downtown's vibrancy, supporting local businesses and promoting a social, pedestrian-friendly environment."
“The launch of the DORA is an exciting step for Kokomo and our downtown businesses,” Tyler Moore, Kokomo's mayor, said in the release. “This initiative will create a more dynamic downtown experience, attracting residents and visitors to support our local businesses and enjoy our events. By allowing people to explore our community while enjoying a beverage responsibly, we’re fostering a vibrant, social atmosphere that will boost the local economy and enhance the spirit of our city.”
