LANDOVER, Md. (DC News Now) -- Detectives in Prince George's County are investigating after a man was found dead in a car near a funeral home in Landover on Tuesday morning. The Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD) said that just before 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 7400 block of Landover Road. Upon arrival, responding officers found a man dead in the passenger seat of a car. Montgomery County police investigating homicide after 88-year-old man found dead in Silver Spring A preliminary investigation revealed that the initial shooting took place in the 7100 block of Old Landover Road. Investigators were on the scene of a shooting in the 7100 block of Old Landover Road on Oct. 22. (Dave Leval/DC News Now) The funeral home told DC News Now that the shooting happened while a funeral was in progress. However, Prince George's County police said the funeral home is not connected to the shooting. "We do know so far that we are looking for multiple suspects that arrived and fled in a vehicle, but we are still working to determine the lookout description of that vehicle and the suspects," said Officer Emily Austin, with PGPD, during a press conference.
