BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol is attempting to locate the owner of a red sedan that was destroyed by wildfires between Ray and Tioga October 5 or 6. In a Facebook post, the patrol notes the plates and vehicle identification number (VIN) are too badly burned to help identify the vehicle's owner. The car was parked on Highway 2 by mile marker 62, facing east in the center median. If you have information regarding this vehicle or are the owner, you're asked to call the North Dakota Highway Patrol main number at 701-328-2447. The Highway Patrol also notes local law enforcement has confirmed the vehicle was checked during fires and it was vacant at that time.
