HS Girls Soccer Wrap: Pennington takes outright MAPL title

PENNINGTON — The Pennington School made quick work of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League for the second straight fall since joining the conference.
Maya Raghanundanan scored a hat trick and the Red Hawks celebrated Senior Night on Monday against Lawrenceville with a 6-0 victory — their ninth in a row — and the outright MAPL championship.
Pennington (10-2) completed a perfect 6-0 MAPL season with the victory. It is still chasing yet another Prep A title when it hosts Blair in the semifinals next week.
Riley Conboy and Kate Irani also scored for the Red Hawks.
The Big Red dropped to 2-11-1 overall and 0-3 in the MAPL.
Princeton 2, Hightstown 0
PRINCETON — Quinn Gallagher and Clara Burton scored second-half goals, Julia Zaldarriaga made three saves and the Tigers (5-9-2) blanked the Rams (3-13) in a CVC Tournament consolation game.
Trenton 4, Florence 1
TRENTON — Gabriella Smith had a hat trick to bring her season total to 16 goals and the Tornadoes (3-14) picked up their third out-of-conference victory by beating the Flashes (4-11). Giani Olmeda scored the opener for Trenton.
