A 39-year-old man was arrested early Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. Deputies were dispatched to the area of Highway 50 East and North Lompa Lane for a report of a vehicle not moving and stuck at the light. The reporting party advised there was a subject in the driver's seat not moving. The reporting party also stated the vehicle had been sitting at the green light for approximately three green light cycles, according to the report. A deputy arrived at 12:40 a.m. and observed the vehicle facing westbound in the number one travel lane on Highway 50 East and North Lompa Lane, sitting at a green light. Multiple vehicles were driving around the vehicle to proceed through the green light, the report states. The deputy approached the vehicle and observed a man sleeping with his head resting down on his chest. The officer observed the vehicle to be in drive, with the man's foot on the brake. The driver's side door was locked and the officer knocked on the window multiple times before the man woke up, the report states. The deputy asked the man to place the vehicle into park and turn off the vehicle. The man complied and began looking at his phone. The deputy observed the man to have red, watery eyes and appeared to be disoriented. The deputy asked the man to unlock the door and to step out of the vehicle. The man complied. He was escorted onto the sidewalk. The officer asked where he was going and he stated Dayton. The officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the man's person. The deputy asked him how much he had to drink. The man stated a couple beers. The officer observed the man having thick, slurred speech when speaking, the report states. The man submitted to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He provided evidentiary breath tests of .156 and .151. Bail: $1,137. — A 57-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of misdemeanor disturbing peace in a public building and obstructing, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. According to the report, deputies were dispatched to a fast food restaurant in the 4700 block of Cochise to assist with an uncooperative man. Restaurant staff advised the man knocked over a trash can inside the restaurant and was causing issues at a nearby restaurant. Deputies arrived and detained the man, who was uncooperative and tried to run away when contacted. Officers learned from witnesses the man was disrupting both businesses. After interviews, the man was arrested. Bail: $1,137. — A 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for a misdemeanor warrant issued out of Dayton Township Justice Court. Bail: $643 cash. — A 52-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. Bail: $2,500. — A 42-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor trespassing.
