This weekend's storms have finally lifted out of New Mexico. Leaving a warmer and dry week ahead. The low pressure system responsible for this past weekends storms has officially moved on from New Mexico. The low continues its path towards the Midwest. The low is taking the rain with it. A few isolated storms were seen this morning in northeast New Mexico. By this afternoon, the rain had completely cleared. A few flurries of snow are still possible through today in the mountains of southwestern Colorado. A high pressure system is forming off the Baja Peninsula. An associated ridge is building over New Mexico. The high is sending weak and dry westerly winds through New Mexico. In combination with the ridge, New Mexico can expect clear and dry weather through the end of the week. The ridge is expected to amplify, or strengthen, near the end of the week. This will result in warming temperatures across the state. A weak backdoor cold front is set to make its way into eastern New Mexico by Friday. While this front won't be bringing any rain, it could cool off temperatures. A temperature drop of a few degrees is expected in eastern New Mexico on Friday.
