PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The USA Gymnastics Championships are set to return to Rhode Island next summer. The competition, which draws around 2,000 athletes each year, will feature rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, and trampoline and tumbling events across both elite and developmental divisions. Elite athletes, including Olympians and world champions, will compete for national titles and spots on the 2025-2026 Senior and Junior National Teams in each discipline. "We are very excited to have the championship return to Providence and know that the community will come out to welcome and support our gymnasts during the event," USA Gymnastics' Chief Programs Officer Stefanie Korepin said. The event was last hosted in downtown Providence in 2016. "I am excited to welcome the USA Gymnastics Championship to Providence next year," Mayor Brett Smiley said. "Our city is ready to offer athletes, families and fans an unforgettable experience, with our world-class restaurants, vibrant art scene and unique local businesses for visitors of all ages to enjoy." The elite competitions will be held at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, while the developmental events will take place at the Rhode Island Convention Center from June 16-21. More information, including ticket details, will be available on the official competition website in the coming weeks. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox.
