BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Beale Memorial Library in downtown Bakersfield is hosting a free family Touch-A-Truck event this Saturday. Several law enforcement vehicles will be available for families and children to touch, honk horns and see the inner workings of each vehicle on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some of the vehicles to be on displayed at the library parking lot includes: Fire truck, ambulance, patrol vehicles, school bus and an oil tanker, according to Genevieve Egana with the Kern County Library. Inside the library, families can enjoy truck-themed storytime's every hour and a creative activity stations throughout the library. Children are also encouraged to bring their candy pails for some trick-or-treating fun. Costumes are encouraged.
