ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Webster is searching for partners to redevelop the former Webster Furniture Strippers building on Ridge Road. The building, found at the heart of the West Webster Hamlet, has been vacant for decades and has seen better days. The town bought the property for a dollar and planned to tear the structure down last May. Those looking to take part in this partnership are directed to send a letter of interest and resume to the Town of Webster via email ([email protected]) by November 1. The resumes have to include a description of development experience and available capacity. The potential partnership will accompany Webster's application for Restore NY funding, which gives help to revitalize commercial and housing properties. The town has been looking to restore this property to revitalize the hamlet. After resumes and letters are submitted, the town will choose the respondents for the project. The town is hoping for public infrastrcture work to start next year.
