GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A man charged with a murder in Greenfield is due in Franklin County Superior Court on Monday. Taaniel L. Herberger Brown is accused of murdering a man from Pittsfield back in April. Police began investigating after there was a report of a foul odor and when officers entered Herberger-Brown's Greenfield apartment, the body of 35-year-old Christopher Hairston was found. Victim of Chapman Street apartment homicide in Greenfield identified An arrest warrant was issued and days later he was stopped at Albany International Airport, arrested, and charged as a fugitive from justice. This summer, he was extradited back to Massachusetts. He pleaded not guilty to the murder in Greenfield District Court in July. Now he is scheduled to face the charges in Franklin County Superior Court.
