Our workweek is starting off under clear skies across the region. Temperatures heading out the door for work this morning are in the 40s, so you should have just a little extra layer for your AM commute. Temperatures reach the 50s by 9 AM, and then the mid-60s by 11AM to start lunchtime. Lots of AM sun! Temperatures climb throughout the morning, eclipsing the 60° mark for lunchtime. This past weekend saw lots of sunshine, and that will continue today as well as high pressure sticks around. We will see quite the warmup with temperatures soaring in the upper 70s for high temperatures. Some spots may even reach the 80° this afternoon. So, have that jacket this morning, and some shorts for this afternoon! This is almost 20° above the average highs in the lower 60s. Luckily, our record high temperature looks to be safe (record of 84° for Fort Wayne). Monday's high temps will be near 80°! A system hobbles its way in from the Great Plains and may bring a scattered shower or two for our Tuesday, but they will be widely scattered. We'll still see high temperatures in the upper 70s then. On Wednesday, a cold front moves through, bringing rain to the north, leaving our area dry. However, you'll notice conditions becoming breezy. Wednesday's highs will still be able to hit 70°. Colder fall air rushes in behind the front and high temps will be back at seasonal levels on Thursday, around 60°. Friday brings another slight rain chance, and another frontal system moves through, which will feed in cooler air for the weekend, where we'll be in the 60s for highs.
