BOSTON (WWLP) - A Randolph man allegedly associated with the violent Boston gang Cameron Street was sentenced to prison for a home invasion of a rival drug dealer in Canton. According to the Department of Justice in Boston, 27-year-old Brendon Amado was identified as an associate of the gang, Cameron Street. Amado and co-defendants Deronde Bethea and Michael Nguyen, committed a home invasion robbery of two victims with firearms at the home of a rival drug dealer in July 2018. Cocaine, firearm seized during police search on Walnut Street in Holyoke The three men broke into the home wearing masks and dark hoodies and carrying firearms. One victim called 911 after they ran out of the house, however the second victim was brought into the living room, punched in the head, had a gun put to her head as the men ransacked the house demanding, “where’s the stuff, where’s the money, where’s your boyfriend?” The suspects left in a silver pickup truck after stealing $2,000 in cash and a safe. Amado and Bethea were identified on convenience store surveillance footage shortly before the robbery. Amado pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by threats or violence and was sentenced on Thursday to 70 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. Nguyen pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 70 months in prison and three years of supervised release. Bethea pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 250 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.
