PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews responded to a fire that broke out Friday morning at two Providence homes. Chief Derek Silva posted on X that 67 firefighters responded to Laurel Hill Avenue just after 11 a.m. and found heavy smoke and flames. The initial investigation showed the fire started at one home before spreading to the second. Both appear to be total losses, officials said. No injuries were reported, but one occupant is being evaluated, according to Silva. The cause is under investigation.
