NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Taylor Swift coral? The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas now has a new, beautiful coral on exhibit called "Swiftia exserta," and it is here just in time for Taylor Swift's visit to New Orleans. Many "Swifities" are sure to fall in love with this pink-colored coral that, interestingly enough, shares the name of the mega superstar. New Taylor Swift beer, ‘The Eras Pour’ at Urban South Brewery Audubon Aquarium's new "Deep Dive Into The Gulf" exhibit showcases deep water corals. This new exhibit is an immersive exploration of the life in the twilight and midnight zones of the Gulf of Mexico and the mesophotic and deep bethic coral communities that live there. (WGNO/Kenny Lopez) Audubon Aquarium employees are excited to highlight the vibrant ecosystems that exist deep beneath the Gulf's surface and serve as home to animals rarely seen by the public. Swifties got ‘Bad Blood’ over hotel reservations being canceled The new exhibit was made possible through a grant from the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation with funding to restore natural resources injured by the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill from the DWH Open Ocean Trustees. "'Deep Dive Into The Gulf' bring the Gulf of Mexico's hidden treasures to the public," Rich Toth, senior vice president and director of Audubon Aquarium said. Toth went on to say, "Our goal is to inspire visitors with the beauty and importance of these habitats, and to encourage a commitment to protecting them for future generations."
