In a Sunday sweep over UC Riverside on Sunday, University of Hawaii women's volleyball setter Kate Lang had a major milestone, starting in her 100th consecutive match. Lang, who enrolled in 2020, did not have a true freshman season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, she took over the starting setter role as a freshman. All the latest sports news from Hawaii's sports station Lang and the Rainbow Wahine are set to embark on a three-match road trip, beginning with Cal Poly on Friday at 4 p.m. HST. I feel like I've been benched at some point in between this, but I haven't. So, I guess that's a confidence booster for myself. But I don't know. I just I don't know. That feels weird. It's really weird. "I look back and I think about how far I've come from my first year of playing here was no season at all. And then my second year coming into the Stan and we weren't allowed to have anyone in here. We actually had fat heads sitting around the Stan to make it feel less empty. But just coming from that to remembering every senior and every senior night that I've seen in here is just really weird. And it's my turn next."
