MERCED, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Downtown Merced's last Mercado Night Market of the season will be in early November and it will feature a community ofrenda celebration. Organizers say that the evening features the Community Ofrenda Celebration, which is a tribute to honor and remember loved ones who have left a lasting impact on their lives. People are encouraged to bring photos and decorations to honor for the community altar, according to organizers. Organizers say artists are encouraged to showcase their talent and will receive a stipend for the art at the Mercado. They say they are looking for artists and not crafts. Artists can apply here. According to organizers, there will be 80-plus vendors, delicious food, a classic, car exhibition, performances and live music. The event is hosted by the Merced County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and will be on Nov.7 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Bobhart Square in Downtown Merced.
