UPDATE: Appleton police respond to disturbance with a weapon, all parties exit safely

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) — Authorities in Appleton cited a disturbance involving a weapon for the active police presence on Thursday morning.
According to an updated release, officers were dispatched to an address on W. Schindler Place shortly after 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 17, 2024, for the reported disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers secured a perimeter and attempted to make contact with the individuals involved. Negotiations were initiated, and shortly before 11:30 a.m., all parties exited the residence safely.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers remain in the area. The updated release did not specify if any arrests were made.
