Photo by Carla Peay/The Atlanta VoiceWINSTON-SALEM, NC – On day one of a three-day bus tour across North Carolina, Trump surrogates will make stops in local GOP offices and early voting sites across the state. Day one included stops in Alamance County, Forsyth County, and Iredell County. At the second stop of the day, at the Winston Salem GOP office in Forsyth County, the speakers were Kash Patel, Former Chief of Staff of the US Department of Defense, and Brooke Rollins, President & CEO of America First Policy Institute. An intimate group of about 30 people were in attendance, including people who were designated as “Trump Force Captains”, volunteers for the Trump campaign.Tyler, 21, said he became a Trump Force Captain because he believes in the message of the Trump campaign.“We help with door knocking and helping out at campaign rallies in order to get the message out,” said Tyler, who declined to give his last name.“We believe in improving the economy, making America safe, making America great again.”Anna, 65, also a Winston-Salem resident, said she is a Trump Force Captain because she wants a better life for her grandchildren, who are five and eight years old.“I am supporting Donald Trump because I am worried about the world we are leaving behind.”Patel and Rollins arrived on a Trump tour bus and received a loud ovation from the group. Patel spoke first and launched into a speech that denigrated the mainstream media and the radical left.“We are here to give you a little bit of the President’s message, but also a message to take back to your communities,” Patel said. “The mainstream media is never going to tell you. They have been lying and robbing us of the truth.”Patel stated that Trump’s mission is not only to demolish the Deep State, which is a part of corrupting Washington DC by putting out false and disinformation campaigns but says Trump has broken through all of it.“You guys are the most powerful voices in this state that could come down to making the call of the election,” said Patel, who blamed the lies of the mainstream media for people believing that he is a Russian asset, an insurrectionist, and was impeached righteously.“We didn’t do enough to back our Commander and Chief back then, so we’ve got to double down now,” Patel said. He added that most people have stopped watching CNN and reading the New York Times, and that the best messaging is human messaging. The gist of his message to the group was that it was the Democrats that lied, stole money from their campaigns and went overseas to have enemy agents write what he called as fiction, to give to the FBI. And that they are doing it again. He also called the January 6 insurrection a “total disinformation campaign,” since no one has been charged with the crime of insurrection. However, Patel neglected to mention that other charges have been brought.According to the office of Attorney General Merrick Garland, more than 1,265 defendants have been charged who were involved in the events of January 6. Among the charges were assault on federal officers, obstructing law enforcement, and seditious conspiracy. He then began his praise of Trump’s agenda, while attacking Kamala Harris’ agenda.“President Trump has the best policies in the world for everything. If Kamal Harris had one, you would have heard at least one by now,” Patel said.  “Instead, she’s just stealing them from Trump. That’s how you know his message, his policy, his agenda 47, his Trump Force movement is actually applying to everyday Americans.”Patel was followed by Rollins, who talked about how well she knew the former President and stated that he has been unfairly portrayed by the media.“I saw the heart and the love of this man, who the media tries to portray as anti-woman, or anti-family or ani-whatever,” Rollins said. “For those of us who know him so well and worked alongside him, we know different.” She then attacked Harris, and “goofy” Tim Walz, blaming Harris for open borders and illegal immigration.“The human trafficking and the human tragedy and the drug cartels basically entered our country in just the last three and a half years, and they will absolutely destroy the fabric and the soul of America, unless we take it back.”Rollins also downplayed the events of January 6, asking people to compare people entering a building to a governor – Tim Walz – to allow a city, Minneapolis, to burn down. The bus tour will continue on for two more days, making visits to four more counties on Thursday and three more on Friday. The post Trump surrogates Kash Patel and Brooke Rollins address local GOP supporters during North Carolina bus tour appeared first on The Atlanta Voice.
