NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — With four months until Super Bowl 59, organizers are making sure the days leading up to the big game offer a variety of events filled with fun and entertainment. Organizers met at Mardi Gras World to announce the schedule. "We're ramping up to host over 100,000 fans, media and other visitors, not just for the game, but those who want to attend the special events the week leading up to the game," Jay Cicero with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation said. Super Bowl Opening Night, sponsored by Gatorade, will take place Monday, Feb 3. Its purpose will be to celebrate the AFC and NFC champions, and it will give fans the opportunity to hear from players and coaches. Tickets go on sale Dec. 10 for $20. The Ernest M. Morial Convention Center will host the Super Bowl Experience from Wednesday, Feb. 5 to Saturday, Feb. 8. Games, autograph opportunities, NFL exhibits, merchandise shopping and more. Tickets go on sale Dec. 10 for $20. Free admission for kids 12 and under. The Super Bowl will return to Atlanta in 2028: Where will it be played before that? The annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, aiming to unite culture through music, faith and football. This year's theme is 'keep going.' NFL Honors, presented by Invisalign will take place at the Saenger Theatre, on Thursday, Feb. 6, and will celebrate the best in the league. The event will be televised and streamed at 9 p.m. EST. The Taste of the NFL will be held at the National WW2 Museum on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. CT. It's the NFL's largest philanthropic event held during Super Bowl weekend and will feature top chefs and NFL greats while tackling food insecurity among children in Louisiana. The Louisiana Cultural Festival will be held at the French Market on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8. It will highlight the many cultures of Louisiana, featuring unique booths, musical performances from local Native American Tribes and Mardi Gras Indians, a cultural corner with basket weaving, cooking, dance demonstrations and storytelling. There will also be a stage with live jazz music. "I think the New Orleans culture is so unique, I want to make sure that not only we bring that to life for visitors, as well I think it's a great marriage there," Steve Fargo, director of event operations for the NFL said. Louisiana officials preparing for Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans, plan tourism increase On the Saturday before the Super Bowl, an NFL-themed parade will roll through New Orleans. CEO and Co-Founder of Raising Canes Chicken Fingers Todd Graves has been chosen as parade king. "It's such an honor to be chosen and I just respect the people of the state so much, and the business community, because I've had my success story and the honor for me is to represent that success story." This is the 11th time the Super Bowl will be held in New Orleans.
