WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Kansas State women's basketball program was ranked No. 13 in the Preseason AP Top 25 on Tuesday. It's the fourth time in program history the Wildats have been ranked in the preseason poll. Kansas State was also voted by the league's coaches as the favorite to win the conference during the 2024-2025 season. K-State ended the 2023-24 season ranked 19th in the final AP poll after beginning the season unranked. The Wildcats were ranked for 19 consecutive weeks in both the AP and Coaches polls to conclude the 2023-24 season. Kansas State will be led into the 2024-25 season by Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year Ayoka Lee and Serena Sundell. Last year, the Wildcats finished 26-8 overall and 13-5 in the Big 12. The season ended with a 63-50 loss to Colorado in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
