Man gets more than 3 years in prison after using fake checks to buy $30,000 of stamps in CNY

Syracuse, N.Y. — A Massachusetts man was sentenced Tuesday to more than three years in prison after using fraudulent checks at multiple Central New York post offices to buy more than $30,000 worth of stamps.William Soto, 32, of Springfield, Mass., pleaded guilty this summer to 12 counts of theft of government property.
