CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A look at a special flight to honor dozens of veterans. Queen City Honor Flight took World War II, Korea and Vietnam veterans from Charlotte to Washington, D.C. The most recent trip was on Saturday. Queen City Honor Flight is a non profit that transports veterans to places like DC to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. Many vets say its a life changing day. The veterans are welcomed home after the trip with a water cannon salute and cheering adults and children.
