ATWATER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Another Daiso store will be opening in the Central Valley — but this one will be in Merced County, according to company officials. Daiso officials confirmed to YourCentralValley.com that the company, which is known for its affordable Japanese-inspired merchandise, will soon be cutting the ribbon on a new store in Atwater in November. Grand opening for Central Valley’s first Daiso store postponed The store will follow the opening of another store in Visalia on Oct. 26. The Visalia store's grand opening will be taking place on both Oct. 26 and Oct. 27. According to Daiso, the Atwater location is slated to open Nov. 16. The company will be hosting a grand opening weekend event - and the first 100 people to spend $30 will receive an exclusive goodie bag each day. YourCentralValley.com did ask Daiso if there are plans to open a store in the Fresno area. "Currently, this will be the closest location to the Fresno community, but we are continuously expanding," Daiso officials said. The new Daiso store in Atwater will be opening at 1260 Commerce Avenue.
