SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Loophole Brewing closed its downtown Springfield taproom location. Loophole Brewing is a well-known brewer in western Massachusetts and it officially closed down this month. The property on 51 through 59 Taylor Street in downtown Springfield was sold. Jeff Goulet the owner of Loophole Brewing says they will continue their contract brewing and offer their beers for sale through distribution in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The business will also continue with its events, such as the Duryea Way Wine and Beer Garden pop-ups through Halloween. He says it will take some time before going to another location but he told 22News that he does see another brewpub in the future. At the moment there is no specific timeline for a new location but Goulet says he is in the process of coming up with a clear plan.
