The City of Austin hosted a Free Austin Community Tree Planting Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Todd Park. During the event, over 40 individuals were present to learn how to plant and assist with planting 45 trees at Todd Park North near the large pavilion by the purple playground. Community members as well as volunteers from United Way of Mower County were in attendance. Trees were purchased in part through a Hormel Foundation grant.
