The world will once again be turning its attention to Northeast Ohio because, of course, the 39th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony takes place Oct. 19 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland. To be eligible, a solo artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. The list of 2024 inductees includes Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest. Mary J. As with every induction ceremony, this one boasts astar-studded list of presenters and performers — remember three years ago when Taylor Swift opened the show? — who add sizzle to the affair.
