The Park City Police Department received a series of complaints in the middle of October about parking-related issues, including cases in the Main Street core as well as outside the area of the shopping, dining and entertainment strip. The police regularly log reports of parking issues across Park City, and the recent cases were generally similar to those the agency traditionally fields. The cases also were reported at a time when Park City was enjoying a solid stretch in the tourism economy, as crowds continued to arrive well into the fall shoulder season. Some of the cases:On Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1:51 p.m., a moving truck was reported to be blocking a lane dedicated for the Main Street trolley at the turnaround on the northern end of Main Street. On Saturday, Oct. 12, at 5:43 p.m., a vehicle was apparently left in a drop-and-load zone along Main Street. An officer “educated” the driver about the drop-and-load zone hours. On Friday, Oct. 11, at 9:54 p.m., the police were informed of someone wanting a truck to be moved somewhere along Park Avenue. The person who contacted the agency indicated the truck was “in front of his business.” On Oct. 11 at 3:34 p.m., the police received information about a car that “keeps being moved around (the) neighborhood every couple of days for the last week.” The case was logged on Hackney Court and was categorized as a parking problem. On Oct. 11 at 2:09 p.m., the police received an inquiry regarding Sidewinder Drive parking in the area of a hotel for what was described as a “large bus.” On Oct. 11 at 8:08 a.m., a tan-colored minivan was reported to have been left in front of a residential address on Hackney Court. The post Park City police field complaints about parking on Main Street, in neighborhoods appeared first on Park Record.
