CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 76-year-old man is dead after he was thrown from his motorcycle in Chesterfield County on Friday. This single-vehicle crash took place in the 11800 block of Ivey Mill Road just after 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, according to the Chesterfield County Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 76-year-old William O. Kay of Amelia County, who was thrown from his motorcycle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Police said investigators do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the crash. No additional information, such as the exact circumstances of the crash, has been shared by police at this time.
