APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - The nonprofit Bikes for Kids Wisconsin, an organization dedicated to increasing the use of bicycle-based transportation for everyone, held a bike donation drive over the weekend in the Fox Valley. Menasha finally holds Sesquicentennial Celebration long after weather delays The event was held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of Thrive Architects in Appleton with officials from Bikes for Kids saying that they received 71 donated bicycles. Bikes for Kids Wisconsin will now take these recently donated bikes and spend the winter months tuning and refurbishing them before giving them away in the spring to children and adults in need. These 71 bikes now move the organization closer to its goal of giving away 2,000 bicycles throughout the Badger State this year.
