Danielle Parhizkaran/NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK The Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants will battle it out on the latest installment of “Sunday Night Football.” Come chat with us in our open thread. In Week 6, the “Sunday Night Football” showdown will feature a cross-conference matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Giants. Because these two teams play in different conferences, they’ve only met 11 times in their histories, with the Bengals holding a 6-5 series lead. An interesting twist in this series is that the home team has won 10 of the 11 games. The Bengals (1-4) have had a rough start to the season. They dropped heartbreakers to the Chiefs and Ravens, and probably shouldn’t have lost to the Patriots or Commanders, while their only win was over the Panthers. Meanwhile, the Giants (2-3) lost to the Vikings, Commanders, and Cowboys, while getting wins over the Browns and Seahawks—with a little assist from the “Lions Hangover” epidemic. Betting line and pick for the game Despite the worse record and being on the road, the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook have tabbed Cincinnati the favorites and set the betting line at Bengals -3.5 points. Yes, the Giants' recent win was very solid, but it’s hard for me to muster up too much faith in them, especially with Malik Nabers out due to injury. I view this game as an opportunity for the Bengals to get back on track, because if they don’t win tonight, their season will be in full collapse. I think that’ll be enough to get them over the hump. Prediction: Bengals 24-17.
