FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Carl's Jr.'s across Fresno County will be donating a portion of their sales to support the blind starting Tuesday in honor of Blind Americans Equality Day. The funds raised from the two-day event will go toward the Valley Center for the Blind (VCB), a Fresno non-profit dedicated to supporting, training, and employing people who are blind or have low vision. VCB says 20% of each sale will be donated to their mission; however, customers must mention their order is to support VCB before ordering their food for the non-profit to receive the donation. To kick off the event, the non-profit, its clients, and sighted supporters will also be walking along West Shaw Avenue from the VCB Fresno office to Carl's Jr. between 10 a.m. and noon to raise awareness of the blind and low-vision community.
