BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Must Luv Dogs Rescue, a foster home-based rescue, introduced a beautiful Beagle up for adoption named Ruby. Ruby is a sweet girl who is between 3 and 4 years old and has been with Must Luv Dogs for about two weeks. She can be shy at first, but she'll like you after she gets to know you. She does well with dogs and people, but she probably hasn't been around cats yet. Her adoption fee is $200 which covers the cost of microchipping, vaccinations and spaying. Ruby's foster parent and City of Zachary Economic Development Director Ashleigh McHugh said a cat test can be conducted if a potential adopter requests that. People who foster pets are given the experience of owning a pet and learning how to deal with an animal that might have been previously abandoned or abused. No matter the dog's backstory, the rescue wants potential adopters to be fully ready for the responsibility of pet ownership.
