ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Ridge's Rescue celebrated the fall season with a carve and sip for pups event Thursday.
Participants could buy a ticket that included a pumpkin, carving materials, a tea light, and a beverage. That money goes directly towards the support of Ridge's Rescue.
The event had a special guest instructor walking everyone through how to carve a spectacular pumpkin. News 8 spoke to the organization's founder about seeing the community coming together to support the shelter.
"I'm just a small little rescue that only started a few years ago," Kelley Murtha said. "To see people coming out and helping... it's a good feeling."
