Panera settles 'charged lemonade' wrongful death suit involving Penn student

Panera has settled a lawsuit over a student who died after drinking the chain's highly caffeinated Charged Lemonade drink.
The suit, filed last year in Philadelphia, said that Sarah Katz, 21, and a University of Pennsylvania student with a heart condition called long QT syndrome type 1, bought a Charged Lemonade from a Panera restaurant in September 2022, NBC News reported. Her roommate told NBC News that Katz went into cardiac arrest hours later.
