UPDATE: ROBERTSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A gruesome discovery behind a Robertson County home has led to the arrest of 32-year-old Torilena May Fields. According to police, a dismembered body was found at a residence on Brierly Ridge Road. The incident came to light when a caller, who had arrived to work on a building for the homeowner, stumbled upon the body and alerted authorities. Fields was arrested following a police operation that involved deploying CS gas to extract her from the residence. Fields faces charges including abuse of a corpse, obstructing governmental operations, and tampering with physical evidence, with the potential for additional charges as the investigation continues. She is currently held at the Bourbon County Detention Center and is scheduled for arraignment on October 14th.   ORIGINAL STORY: MOUNT OLIVET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Mount Olivet woman is in custody, facing charges connected with a death investigation by Kentucky State Police. KSP says 32-year-old Torilena May Fields is charged with Obstructing Governmental Operations, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Abuse of a Corpse. According to a release, more charges could be filed. The death investigation was launched by KSP after discovering a deceased woman at a residence on Brierly Ridge Road in Robertson County, reported at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday. According to a news release, the situation escalated when attempts to contact another female inside the home were unsuccessful. The property was secured, and after obtaining a search warrant, a Special Response Team was activated and served the warrant, according to the release. The scene was described as “active and contained,” with assurances there was no threat to the public. Fields is expected to be housed at the Bourbon County Detention Center.
