WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) -- We are four weeks out from Election Day and the presidential race seems to be a dead heat. This week Vice President Kamala Harris is on a media blitz to get her message out, while the Trump campaign is holding rallies in battleground states.  In an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes", Vice President Harris talked about a wide range of issues. She also said in the lead up to the election she is fighting for every vote.  "No one should be able to take for granted that they can just declare themselves a candidate and automatically receive support. You have to earn it. And that's what I intend to do," Harris said.  On Tuesday she continued her media blitz, starting with an appearance on ABC's "The View" where she announced a plan to help Americans take care of aging parents by allowing Medicare to cover in-home healthcare.  "It is a way to help people actually not just get by but get ahead," Harris said.  Also, on Tuesday she sat for an interview with radio host Howard Stern and made plans to appear on "The Late Show" with Stephen Colbert.  Former President Donald Trump went after her media appearances in an interview on "The Ben Shapiro Show."  "The woman doesn't know what she's doing," Trump said. "Every time she does an interview she sounds like a child. She sounds like a person with a very low IQ."  He slammed his rival's economic plan in a conversation with right-wing radio host Hugh Hewitt this week.  "She wants to go into government housing. She wants to go into government feeding. She wants to feed people. She wants to feed people governmentally. She wants she wants to go into a Communist Party type system," Hewitt said. On Wednesday Trump turns his sights to the battleground state of Pennsylvania, where he has two rallies scheduled.  The vice presidential candidates were also out on the campaign trail on Tuesday. Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio.) rallied voters in the swing state of Michigan. "We're going to turn the state of Michigan red, take back this country and make Donald Trump the next president of the United States," Vance said.  Meanwhile, Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) was scheduled to hold an event in Nevada.
