(WGHP) — One of the scariest places in the Piedmont celebrates forty years! Kersey Valley Spookywoods started scaring people in the 1980s with a minute haunted house. The haunted attraction has grown over forty years, now stretching out over 100 acres including 22 sets with 180 actors and takes more than an hour to go through. ‘Spirit Christmas’: Spirit Halloween is now opening Xmas-themed locations Crews work year-round to create the massive show that brought in 33,000 people last season. Spookywoods' owners expect even larger crowds this year for the Special 40th anniversary.  FOX8's Shannon Smith visited Spookywoods to get a behind the scenes tour of one of America's most popular haunted attractions.
