Hang on to your bikini bottoms, SpongeBob SquarePants fans.  The moment you’ve been waiting for since the early aughts has finally arrived – Krabby Patty is coming ashore. Fat Sal’s (Michele Stueven) Nickelodeon and Paramount are continuing to celebrate the landmark 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants with The Krabby Patty Kollab a program bringing a variety of food items inspired by the burger under the sea into the real world and onto menus for the first time, in collaboration with Off The Menu. The food discovery app offers exclusive access to secret menu items at restaurants across L.A. Starting today, select restaurants and chefs will offer their interpretations of the Krusty Krab specialty including dumplings, falafel, burgers, doughnuts, ice cream and more inspired by the most sought-after secret recipe in Bikini Bottom.   Nancy Silverton’s Mozza Patty (Michele Stueven) Fat Sal’s offers two smashed Angus beef patties with melted American cheese, crispy jalapenos with pineapple salsa and fat sauce on a potato bun.  At Nancy Silverton’s Osteria Mozza, you’ll find a meatball parmigiana with polenta fries.  Tacos 1986 is offering carne asada, grilled cheese, guacamole and salsa sandwiched in between two crispy hand-made tostadas and Bar Next Door is serving up a blue Bikini Bottom margarita and the Pineapple Under The Sea mojito.  BOA Steakhouse’s version of the burger brings an upscale flair with their 8 oz wagyu beef patty and a house-made short rib marmalade, BOA burger sauce, tomato, red onion, and parsley salad,  served on a toasted brioche bun, with fries on the side. The Krabby Patty Burger will be available at BOA Sunset and Manhattan Beach.  There’s also a plant-based Monty’s Good Burger version with signature onion aioli sauce, crinkle-cut pickles, and fresh tomatoes. And what perhaps looks the most like the original Krabby Patty but tastes the least like one is the Pinkbox donut – a raised shell cut in half with sesame seed sprinkles on top, a chocolate cake donut for the patty, icing piping for cheese and lettuce and raspberry drizzle for ketchup. So what’s the secret formula to a perfect Krabby Patty?   While they wouldn’t divulge the secret recipe, here’s what the SpongeBob SquarePants cast told us.
