Geauga Park District Naturalist Renell Roebuck is stepping up her programming for basket-weavers with two two-day workshops for those who consider themselves advanced in the art. “Advanced Odds & Ends Baskets 2-Day Workshop” will take place 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 21 and 22, at The West Woods’s Affelder House, 15139 Chillicothe Road in Russell Township. Participants will design their own pattern to create a small basket, according to a news release. Cost is $25 for Geauga County residents and $30 for out-of-county residents “Weave a Laundry Basket 2-Day Workshop” will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 16 and 17 at Holbrook Hollows Lodge, 7250 Country Lane in Bainbridge Township. Participants will follow a basket pattern for design detail to weave a double-walled tote basket. There is a fee of $65 for Geauga County residents and $75 for out-of-county residents. Spots are still available, but quite limited, for the the sessions, according to a news release. Registration is required.
