Oct 07, 2024
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Monday marked the first day of an experimental music festival Avant Garde a Clue in Rochester.
The festival is presented by Eclectic Overdrive and used to be known as "Rochester Experimental Week." It features over 250 international and "non-commercial" acts of all music including artists "Doom Dogs" and "Frank Hurricane."
News 8 caught up with the Doom Dogs, a genre-free improvising super group featuring Reeves Gabrels, Jonathan Kane, and Jair-Rohm Parker Wells, who all said they are excited to make history here in Rochester.
"This festival is really thrilling," Parker Wells said. "That's how it feels to be a part of this. It's historic, and I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing the others acts, and just being part of the acts in general."
Avant Garde a Clue runs until October 13 at 75 Stutson Street. For more information, click here.
