BATAVIA, N.Y. (WROC) — This week's Player of the Week stood far above the rest of the field. Batavia's Bronx Buchholz powered the Blue Devils to a 32-16 rivalry win over Honeoye Falls-Lima on Saturday, registering five total touchdowns. The senior quarterback threw for 147 yards and had three touchdown passes. He also ran the ball 23 times for 178 yards and two scores on the ground. The matchup pitted the top two teams in Class B against each other as both teams entered undefeated. Batavia entered as the 14th-ranked team in the latest NYSSWA rankings while HF-L was 12th. Saturday's game was the fourth time this season Buchholz has registered three or more total touchdowns. The one game where he did not was a blowout victory. Batavia is 5-0 on the season and our Player of the Week is a big reason why.
