Video provided by the Fort Wayne TinCaps in July shows the upcoming holiday attraction at the ballpark. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The holiday season is quickly approaching, and Parkview Field is preparing to hit a home run with its upcoming walk-through attraction. For 50 nights starting in November and lasting through the new year, "Holiday Lights" will bring more than 1 million lights and displays to the ballpark. Tickets go on sale Oct. 15, a month before the attraction opens to the public from Nov. 14 to Jan. 4. Once tickets go on sale, you can buy them on the TinCaps website or in person at the ballpark's Orchard Team Store. Tickets throughout the month of November cost $10, while December is $12. For groups of 20 or more, the rate is $9 per person. The TinCaps and Downtown Fort Wayne confirmed in July that this means Parkview Field will no longer be the host of a free fireworks show to cap off Night of Lights, an annual tradition that brightens downtown Fort Wayne each year with festive displays that last throughout the season. Holiday Lights attendees can take advantage of promotions at Parkview Field just like during the TinCaps' MiLB season. Tuesdays remain a “Family Feast” with discounts on select concession items, while Wednesdays continue as “Paws & Claws” with pets welcome, and “Thirsty Thursday” includes sales on draft beer and mixed drinks, according to a release from the ballpark. And along with the walk-through light displays, there will also be a train ride and appearances by “Johnny Claus.” Part-time seasonal positions are available to work Holiday Lights; anyone interested can apply here.
