FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Fort Wayne Police took one person into custody after a crash north of downtown Sunday night left another person in critical condition.
FWPD responded to the crash around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Clinton St. and Parnell Ave.
Upon arrival, police found a sedan that appeared to have run into a traffic pole after failing to yield and hit a truck. The sedan was driving south when police thought it had struck the truck traveling north.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
FWPD said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
