NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Shots were fired toward officers, that's according to intial reports from the New Orleans Police Department. According to the NOPD, officers were serving a warrant in the 3100 block of or N. Tonti Street around 7 p.m. That's when the report says shots were fired at officers. No injuries have been reported at this time. 11-year-old and adult killed in LaPlace double homicide Officers say the suspect has barricaded themselves inside a residence. A SWAT roll has been issued to the residence. According the NOPD, the suspect is believed to be involved in a homicide that occurred earlier today on Louisa Street. The NOPD asks the public to stay away from the area of Feliciana Street and N. Miro Street. This is an active situation, we will release more information as it becomes available.
