It was a warm and dry start to the weekend across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. We hope you enjoyed the sunshine for your Saturday plans! Look for skies to be mostly clear as you head out the door early Sunday morning. Temperatures will be warm in the 60s. Winds will also be on the increase from an approaching cold front. It will be a warm and breezy start to our Sunday. There remains the slight chance to see the northern lights before daybreak Sunday. Confidence remains low though for the chance to materialize. Click below to learn more. Seeing the northern lights possible Saturday night A cold front will slide through the area on Sunday, bringing a brief increase in clouds and some windy conditions. Look for winds to gust up to 35 mph at times throughout the day. The combination of the gusty winds, dry air behind the front, and dry ground in place is a recipe for there to be an elevated fire danger on Sunday. Tracking an elevated fire danger on Sunday High temperatures Sunday reach as high as the upper 70s before the front moves through. We'll see a few clouds as this cold front moves through.High temperatures will occur in the early afternoon hours Sunday.Winds will be strong and temperatures will fall behind the front. Winds will decrease quickly then Sunday night, with skies becoming partly cloudy. Low temperatures will take a tumble into the mid-40s. Skies turn partly cloudy as we progress into Sunday night.Temperatures tumble into the 40s by daybreak Monday. We'll see high temperatures go down into the 60s then for the next few days after this frontal passage, which will be a nice change! What will not be nice is the continuation of dry weather conditions, with no rain in the forecast all throughout the upcoming week.
