BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota Highway Patrol took a brief break from patrolling the road to welcome some newcomers to the team. North Dakota's Highway Patrol graduation day took place Friday at the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College. Eight students graced the stage to take an oath of office and receive their badge. To qualify as a highway patrol trooper, you must have at least 60 semester credit hours and pass several written tests to determine if you're fit to be an officer. Families, friends, and troopers all came together to celebrate the accomplishments of these young students. And Highway Patrol wishes each and every one of them a hearty congratulations.
