MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Three people were rescued after being trapped in a vehicle following a collision on Highway 99, Merced County Fire said on Friday night. According to officials, the crash occurred on Highway 99 south of Mission Avenue in Merced County. Merced County Fire says their crews extricated the passengers from the vehicle. The condition of the passengers has not been reported, but images shared by firefighters show a medical helicopter being loaded up for transport. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
