RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond's Department of Public Works has announced multiple lane closures starting next week throughout Richmond. Granite Avenue and Grove Avenue Where: Intersection of Granite Avenue and Grove Avenue When: Starting Monday, Oct. 7, through Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Why: According to DPW, a contractor will be installing overhead equipment, as well as paving and striping the road -- as a result, some lanes will be temporarily closed. (Courtesy of Department of Public Works) Cary Street and Libbie Avenue Where: The intersection of Cary Street and Libbie Avenue When: Thursday, Oct. 10 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Why: According to DPW, a contractor will be installing overhead equipment -- some travel lanes will be temporarily closed. When: Starting Monday, Oct. 7 through Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Why: According to DPW, a new sidewalk and other roadwork improvement projects will be installed. Some lanes of travel will be temporarily closed at this intersection.
