BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — An excavator overturned yesterday on Douglas Pike in Burrillville.
According to officials, the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. at the Douglas Pike retaining wall construction site.
The Manafort construction excavator went over the edge of the support piles to the new retaining wall, according to officials.
Manafort Construction is currently mobilizing the equipment needed to upright the machine.
Due to the size of the excavator and the equipment needed to right the overturned machine, Douglas Pike will require a temporary closure.
Officials said Douglas Pike will be closed from the North side of Broncos Hwy to Joslin Road.
No one was injured in the incident.
