HERNANDO, Miss. -- One person was shot to death by the Federal Bureau of Investigation while at a hotel in Hernando, Mississippi on Friday morning, the agency confirmed. The shooting took place at the Super 8 hotel in the 2000 block of Sloans Way. Tony Stanton works near the Super 8 Hotel. He says the day started like any other until he noticed who he says were FBI Special Agents parked on his job site. "I knew where some of them were at because I wondered why people were parking in our lot because we're not open and they said they were waiting on something," Stanton said. "I said ok, not a problem. I mean what are you going to do? Run the feds out of your parking lot?" He says shortly after, he and his employees heard a loud commotion and saw agents pouring into the hotel's parking lot. "Next thing you know it seems like they come out of the woodwork. We heard some hollering and then four shots is what it sounded like to us. We were just like, everybody get down. We don't know where the shots are going from or going," Stanton said. Man accused of shooting at car full of people, pregnant woman He says when they walked outside, they saw agents pull a man from a tan SUV. It's a vehicle Stanton says he's seen before. "I've noticed that suspect's vehicle being here for like three or four days." The agency released a statement saying, "The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”
